It was an expensive below average experience.

I really wanted to like this place because I have to drive by it every other week. I mean what’s better than small town Texas bbq? Usually nothing.

I found it odd this place doesn’t open until 1 on a Saturday? Maybe that’s just how the town paces, I don’t know.

I’m just gonna get to the nitty gritty.

I didn’t like it. The brisket was gelatinous at best , mild flavor. The sauce was more like a bbq vinaigrette. It just wasn’t appetizing. And the ribs, the ones that everyone said were the best we’re cooked perfectly, but flavor wise were beyond lacking, and mostly very salty, gross. The sausage casing was too tough, but the sausage was probably the tastiest.

I was disappointed even more so when I realized how much money we dropped for this experience. For a 1/4 of the price I could have gone to another place and gotten an average experience.

I could tell shortly after eating it , it wasn’t settling well. I threw up a little later that night. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Although I wouldn’t mind helping them figure out their spices, cause those just weren’t right.
